Well, Baby Lazlo is finally here! A big healthy baby boy!
Details about the birth will come sometime, but the stats are:
Labor began about 8am on the 5th, 5 days after our due date. Ctx 10 minutes apart. Got to about 5 minutes around 4am on the 6th. Called midwives at 7am but told them to just be on call. Some waters released at around 9am, and then I vomited! So Sir Hubby called to tell them it looked like I might be further along...so our first midwife arrived and checked me at around 11am and I was 7cms! I thought for sure we were close to the finish, but Lazlo needed more time to get here safely!
So 10 more hours of pretty tough labor later, after many proclamations on my part that "I could NOT do this anymore" and a few sobbing sessions which my lovely midwives and the ever wonderful Sir Hubby talked me down from, at 9:17 pm I finally pushed my ELEVEN pound, 23" long son into the world! My fifth baby had a cone head! An amazingly wonderful blessing to a very long, stressful, difficult pregnancy.
We have some amazing birth photos and such, from our photographer, but we have to wait a day or so to get them digitally sent...in the meantime, here is our first mobile upload to Facebook!
