Gestation Averages So Far

For the multips on this board the average gestation is 39 weeks 6 days. For the primips (first time moms) it is 40 weeks 1 day. I had to throw out the one number that was really early due to complications from eclampsia (sorry!) since it wasn't representative of the majority. Those who haven't given me your gestation time yet, please do!

I'm a multip and Annabelle was born exactly 39 weeks and 6 days. I feel so average!

Thanks for doing the numbers. I'm really surprised that we're averaging so close to the stereotypical 40 week mark! I always figure due dates are silly, but I guess in the case of this board they were pretty close!

Updated Averages

For Multips the average is 39 weeks 5 days. For Primips the average is now 40 weeks 2 days.

We only had less than 20 people per calculation so I'm sure it would be different if we had more data.
