Help me! Major Flea infestation

We got two free kittens and I guess they came with fleas. We only kept one, but there are soooo many fleas.

I dont know what's best to do. Im scared of bombing because it's winter and I have and 8 month old baby.

Any advice as to what works and what's safe?

Pick up Advantage from the vets....
safe for kittens from 6wks and up....safe with children....
will take care of the problem

Oh yeah...vacuum well and toss the bag....launder pet bedding too.
