Does anyone give this vitamin to their child?

It was $30 at the store, so I thought I should get some opinions first

DS is 20 months & does have food sensitivities, although the ingredients listed do look okay. We do a whole foods diet, but calcium I feel is probably needed, due to the white spots still on his teeth (we've tried other stuff without success)

He does not take a multivitamin, since I'm having a hard time finding a low lead, allergen -free one.

It is the "animal parade Tooth Fairy"
This vitamin

I appreciate any feedback

That doesn't have much vitamin D. Do you give him additional vitamin D?

Yes, I am currently giving him a separate D (and/or sometimes fermented CLO as well) so I could just adjust the D to make up for it.

He also gets a Kirkman probiotic still containing the Bifido almost daily.

The strains of probiotics in the "Tooth Fairy" I don't know much about though....

I am not crazy about it because of the xyltol. Some people use, but we don't. And he Vit d3 is low and I would give additional magnesium. Have you checked in the dental forum?

Have you tried cell salts at all for teeth healing?

Yes we tried cell salts for a couple of weeks a while ago, and DS had a pretty bad reaction to them, so we stopped.

I should x-post in dental, but thought this might get more action here.

We do the xylitol wipes without problem, but ingestion is very little, so the xylitol in the the actual vitamin had me wondering too...

Thank you for your thoughts

Was the reaction from the lactose? I hear you can get them without lactose.

Both the lactose ones & the ethanol spray ones unfortunately (crazy weird forearm rash, horrible poops & sleep)

If you are worried about dental issues, I would be hesitant to do the chewables. I would probably look for something you can mix in some applesauce or a smoothie. That way it doesn't get stuck to their back teeth when crunching it, the way the chewables do.

ETA: We use the GI ProChild powder, but it tastes yuck and I only give it every now and then. I don't think they would take it daily.

ETA AGAIN: Although you can always just do individual supps and open up the capsules into whatever they will eat/drink.
