Does anyone have a toy like this for their DC?

I had one when I was a child but can't seem to find one now. It was like a board where I could practice using a zipper, learning how to button, lace and tie. Melissa and Doug have something similar but it's not sturdy enough for me. Does anyone have one they enjoy they can recommend for my DD? TIA!

well not sure what exactly you are looking for, but I got my ds one of these
it has all the things you mentioned plus its a boy doll so he gets to be a daddy when he sees big dd babying her dolls.

My mother just told me it's called a dressing board.

DS got the Melissa and Doug dress up bear as a gift for Christmas. I like it because it is a puzzle so he can take each piece out to work on separately.

What I like better are dressing dolls because it puts it in a more real context and are probably easier for a toddler to manipulate than trying to tie something up on a piece of wood. An amazon search for "dressing doll" pulls up some good options. I hope you find something you like!

We had a Snoopy doll as kids that did all those things. Zipper, button, snap, tie, buckle, etc. I wanted one for my daughter this Christmas. I have not ever seen a board but they have "Dressie Bessie" and a make doll as well. We got just a bear that does all that, I think my mom got it for my DD1 on Amazon. She loves it. Still likes to unzip her sister but hey, I tried!

we had the MD one and honestly that is the sturdiest one we have seen. There are some available from montessori suppliers but I found that the MD were equal in durability and less expensive. we also had a "dressing" type doll that had all the notions on it.

You can also make them yourself with picture frames, a staple gun or glue, and thriftstore clothes.

I found a site on how to DIY. Link

I bought a cloth book from pottery barn kids that had zippers, buttons, snaps, etc, maybe something like that would work for you.

Search for a Montessori store on line. they have lots of these types of things.

Actually, x-post there & see what comes up.

Montessori Services and Montessori N Such are two companies that I order from. In Montessori they are called dressing frames.

You can buy each or buy the set.
