haha. When I saw the title, but hadn't actually read your question yet, I thought to myself, "um, i have it in the living room. why do you ask?"

Okay, so as far as where it is in the car... This is our first, so we've just got one seat, an infant seat. I just had it checked at our local hospital by the carseat experts. We tried to install it in the center of the back seat (safest) but this meant that the driver's side seat had to be pushed so far forward that it was almost impossible for me to fit there, and I know that my husband couldn't have fit. So we moved it to right behind the passenger seat. It means now that that seat has to be pretty far forward, but without the steering column there, there's actually enough room for one of us to fit (albeit not roomily). Looks like when it's all 3 of us, whoever isn't driving will likely be in the back with the babe. We have a small car, but fortunately don't use it too often, so i think this will be manageable.
