Homeschooling THREE????

EEEEEEEEK! I just took my little guy (3.5) to daycare for his first day back after holidays. He goes twice a week so me & the older two can work on more involved things, you know.. the things that do not benefit from a 3yo brother standing on the table in the middle of them? and the director was sorting out who's moving up to what room this coming year (new year starts jan 25 here for educational purposes)

I got the shock of my life when she asked me if he would be going to Prep next year (2011) or staying there with them. She asked because she knows his brothers are homeschooled I looked at her like she was nuts... then she said that since he turns 4 in June he would typically be starting prep/kindergarten next year.. colour me completely blown away! I told her I didn't even think he was really ready for the pre school room there yet... emotionally he is still SO much a baby, and he's still working on getting this toilet thing down pat So he's going to move into the 3-4yr room this month and we'll reevaluate the preschool room in a few months. *whew*

The big thing is.. OMG that means next year I'd be homeschooling THREE!!!! (grades 4,2 prep) Talk me off the ledge mamas... I don't know if I can DO it. I feel so overwhelmed often as it is. He wouldn't be 'registered' as a homeschooler yet, as our distance ed unit does not do prep as it's not 'mandatory'. But but but...

Hon, I know you can do it! I was nervous with homeschooling two and in two years, we're going to start adding again (stopping at a total of 6 children).

I bet you'll be like, "wow! what was I worried about?!"

You'll do a great job, I know it.

I know how you feel, I've been freaking out too! Someday down the line, I'll be homeschooling 4. But since I expect we'll have another baby or maybe 2.. that means that someday I could be homeschooling 4-6 kids at one time. OY. I too have a difficult enough time with only my 6th grader & preschooler now!!
