I always use a bamboo basket to steam my veggies (dark leafy greens and broccoli); however, tonight I forgot to put water in the pan, causing my veggies to smoke. They tasted like fish! But my concern is if I altered their nutritional benefits. I have a really bad tummy ache, and am not sure if that's a result of the finished product, or if it's all in my head. Does anyone have any wisdom on this issue?
