wrapping on the go?

Are there any tips for using your woven wrap when out and about?
With my stretchy wrap I used to put it on before leaving the house and then I could pop babe in and out while doing errands.
Any tips for using a woven wrap when out?
It the most comfy thing I've ever used and I don't ever want to go back to my beco or ergo if I can figure out a way to do this without cleaning the parking lot ground or store floor with the fabric. Thanks.

I would bunch up the tails and put them between my knees usually. Or I'd lay them across the seat of the car, a bench, counter, chair or any available surface. Also, bunch up or wrap the tails around your hands with passing them back and forth. And I would try to use my shortest wrap.

You can pre tie a woven wrap like you did with your stretchy. Good carries for this would be a HCC (hip cross carry) or a FCC (front cross carry). If you want to back wrap I've seen these 2 videos on Youtube :

it's a little difficult, but I've managed to*tie my stretchy wrap while sitting in the car before.

you can also pre-tie a FWCC before you leave the house, though you will have to undo the knot and re-start from the step of putting the baby in. check out the pics here- http://www.wrapyourbaby.com/frontwrapcrosscarry.htm
basically you tie it on youself the whole way w/out baby, then re-start at step 4 or 5 with baby. make sense?

I usually pretie a FCC before we go out.
