Purple feet at 7 months - should I be worried?

Ds2 gets purple feet when they get cold. It happened a lot when he was a newborn (even though it was June and 90 degrees outside!). I just thought it was because he was so little - I know that can be common in newborns. Plus he was also blue when he was born because the cord was wrapped around his neck twice and it took him awhile to pink up.

He's almost 7 months now and I'm not sure if this is still normal? He's crawling and pulling up now and I've been taking his socks off so he doesn't slide and I noticed that they're still bluish/purplish a lot.

Is this just something that will regulate on its own or should I be doing something?

Have you brought it up with your ped before? I know it can occur in newborns but I always thought it resolved itself. The first thing that popped in my was a circulation/heart problem. "I" would want some answers if it was happening to my baby.

I didn't really notice it so much until I started taking his socks off during the day so he wouldn't slip and fall as he tries to scale everything in sight They're always a bit cool but I always thought it was because he was being changed/taking a bath/etc. and just covered them back up again. It's not a deep purple, just a light shade and when I push on them, they stay white for awhile and don't pink up right away. I'm thinking poor circulation?

He is otherwise a very happy, healthy, chubby, active baby. I don't see the ped for another two months and I'm wondering if I should go in before then...

I am a super paranoid mama (and I was a super paranoid prego ). I would call the dr. I know for my ped I can usually talk to a nurse and they can decide if it is worth scheduling an apt. I'm sure everything is fine , but if it were me I would rather be safe and call....

It's probably nothing but I think I would call the nurse at the ped's office and see if it's worth coming in.

Are you sure it's because he's cold? Do you hold him a lot? I had a dear friend with a DD who had this happened. Her DH carried DD a lot and, turns out, the way he had a grip on her was limiting her circulation to her feet. He changed the way he held her and it stopped.
