At what age do they go from 2 naps to 1?

I think my 9 month old might be ready to switch to 1 nap, but that seems awfully early......can't remember when DS switched. What has been your experience?

My 12-month-old seems to be right in the middle of the switch! Her b-day was this week and I'd say three weeks ago she began modifing her nap schedule - some days she takes two and some just one. On the days she takes one she is fussier, but sleeps better through the night. It has me guessing right now and is making bedtime a little confusing too!!! I hope she settles on one soon!

My DD dropped to one at 9 months, but I remember also thinking that was ridiculously early.

I wouldn't wish my children's sleep "needs" on anyone though

14 months. I teach, so the transition at the end of the school year, from being at grandma's house to being home with me all day was a natural one.

I should mention, too, that the morning nap became shorter and harder to get for about four months before we nixed it altogether. We moved his afternoon nap earlier, and those actually got a little longer.

I think it was somewhere between 14-16 months, but I can't remember. He's two now.

for my dd it was right after a year. but I honestly cannot remember how we decided it was time. probably because it become nearly impossible to get her done for a morning nap.

About 10-11 months unfortunately because now the 1 nap is on DH's time with him. I get no break!

DD transitioned between 10 and 13 months. I've heard that it is around when they learn how to walk. The transition sucks, but once it is over, life is much easier.

DS is almost 6 months and he still is taking 3-4 naps a day (maybe because his naps are only 30-45 minutes long.)

Around 20mo. He's going on 5 now and still naps nearly everyday. He sleeps a lot, just like his dad.
