New born in an ABC carrier

I have an ABC carrier that I really loved with my dd. I have a 3 week old baby and I have tried to wear him in it around the house a few times and it always results in a sweaty struggling crying mess.

The main problem is I can not figure out what to do with his legs. DD was a little older when I started her in there and I used to just have her sit sort of strattled but he is too little for that. Should I just sit him like a frog?

Any other tips for making this work? He loves the pouch slings which I find great for going out but don't find as helpful for doing stuff around the house as the ABC style.

Yes, I'd either try froggying his legs inside or using a ribbon, string, etc. to cinch the bottom smaller to try legs out.
