Need new carrier, and help choosing

My son is 11 weeks and 14.5 pounds. We have the Beco Butterfly but are not satisfied with it, nor the Baby Bjorn nor Hot Sling.

I hope to gather some suggestions for a carrier that will work for us.

-he's a boy, so somehting that supports his weight by sitting on his tush not his groin. Perhaps froggy style? He doesn't like spreading his legs out like in the Beco, he seems uncomfortable.

-a ring sling could work if it didn't seem too restrictive. Maybe it was the fabric the Hot Sling was made of. He really disliked being in it.

-He likes to face outward (though he obviously cannot nurse this way). He does prefer though to see out rather than face me (and hit his head on my clavicle). So a carrier that converts both inward and outward would be a real plus.

-I like the wraps, as they're very comfortable for the baby, but would prefer something easier to take on and off.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You might consider the Pikkolo. It has an adjustable base that can be narrowed to allow the forward-facing out, but it's still wide enough to provide an ergonomic seated position. With the narrowed base, you still rotate baby's hips so that he's sitting on his rear and thighs rather than dangling from his crotch.

With the Hotsling, you might try putting him in an upright, tummy to tummy position or the Buddha position (seated with legs crossed facing outwards). If he didn't like the cradle position, it's more likely that it was the position rather than the fabric he didn't care for.
