Now that we've had our December babies... - Page 2

More. DH says he has to be able to count them all on one hand, so we'll see what happens when we get to five. I'd like them fairly evenly spaced. Our first two are 2 years 8 months apart, which was longer than I'd planned - I wanted 2 years, but breastfeeding was far better birth control for me than I wanted it to be.

Not done yet. This was our first and a big (but awesome) surprise for us. I'd like two more, although I don't dig pregnancy at all. I can handle birth and beyond. DP wants several kids (5+), but he's alone on that island. lol We'll have to be married before any other kids are thought about.

Some friends and I had our palms read about 5 years ago and I was told I'd have 3 girls and 1 boy. Considering EVERY thing else she said has been on point about each of us, I'm kinda concerned.lol I plan for DD to be at least 2 before I get pregnant again. I'm 26 now and would like a 2-3 yr space between kids.

Me! I want more!

I have two now and always say I want seven but obviously we'll just keep having them until we have enough and stop wherever that is!

I'm thrilled to have had a perfect HBAC because the more cesareans you have the more risky they get while each vbac reduces risks

Oh man. I always thought I wanted at least 2 but this has been so much harder and unpleasant than I ever imagined, I may stop at 1!!

I so hear you! I always thought I wanted three or four, but it turns out that I am much less sanguine about sleep deprivation than I thought.

Like Di Linh said, IME sleep deprivation is like being in labor--you don't think you can survive it and know you could never do it again . . . until it's over, then it doesn't seem so bad!

I'd like at least one more, but I think DH is feeling like two is our limit at this point. I think he'd be up for another if circumstances were different -- we had a lot of disposable income, owned a house, knew which country we were going to end up living in, etc. We're not going to do any sort of permanent birth control though, and I suppose we'll revisit the idea of a baby in two or three years. If we do have another I'd like a bigger age gap next time. Having a young toddler and a newborn is pretty stressful, and plus I'd like to give my body a break from being pregnant for awhile.

I'm thinking about #4 already! I want a big family, and I like the 2-year spacing, so I hope to be pregnant again in about a year and a half. I can't imagine ever feeling "done" having babies.

I think we're done. Although it is hard to think of not having a sweet baby around... my background and culture babies are really special, and it is good for families to have lots of children--it is really celebrated.

But I feel like 4 is good. Everyone will have a hand to hold when we go hiking

4 is good for us even though I am kinda starting to grieve the thought of never doing it again. I know logically/financially/sanity it just doesn't make sense to have a 5th...I just need to focus on raising some kids right now.
We aren't doing anything permanent right now so time will tell.

I think we might be done at 2. DH says that the limit is how many children he can hold onto in an airport (as in, he only has 2 hands, so 2 kids is it). I was open to the idea of more before I had this one, but with the way the last month went stress-wise, and with the "holy cow, I gave birth to a baby how big?!?!" (because she was HUGE to me!) I'm a little iffy. Maybe we'll see in a couple years.

more. i made DH promise to give me at least two ( which would give us 4 total) but 6 sounds nice...
