I had a c-section 5 weeks ago. I was moving around, lifting things (with Dr's permission) and off pain meds by week 2. DH and I waited until week 5 to resume sex just to be safe (he was worried about me). But now I have this pain on my upper left side. It is more front than side and about 3 inches above my belly button. It seems too high to be associated with my c-section but do you all think it might be?
I am making an appointment to see my Ob/Gyn but I find its better to have some ideas for them to check (esp. now that I see military Drs who are scheduled more appointments than they ought to be in a day). Last time I had pain it was a tumor on my ovary and the Dr was like "well it might be bad cramps; I can't feel anything." I had thought it was prolapse because I was having a "dropping feeling" but she said I was fine so I insisted on an U/S and wouldn't you know it... a tumor the size of an orange was sitting on my left ovary. I subsequently lost the ovary and tube because it had strangled the ovary and blocked blood flow.
I was thinking maybe it is that muscle that separates during pregnancy? I don't know how to check that. I really don't have any good ideas to suggest to the Dr. It seems sorta high to me but the only thing different with my health is that I was preggers and had a c-section (both very hard on the body of course). Anyone felt this before?
