OMG I love my Dr!

A little good news, it doesn't seem to happen often enough, so I had to share!

I was really nervous because we had our first Dr. appointement today, and I was psyching myself up to argue with my Dr. that we wanted to delay and even skip a few of the vax for our baby. I had all my arguments and what I was going to say lined up and rehearsed.

Well, it turns out, as soon I told her we had done research on vaccines and had a few issues, she was super open....I didn't even have to go into details explaning our decisions. When I said we wanted to delay vaxes, she said "Ok, what kind of schedule do you have in mind?"

I feel soooo relieved right now!

That's so awesome!! I went through three docs (drove an hour so I could find the best one) who pushed vaxes on us before I decided to try one of our own small town doctors. To my surprise, he was very supportive and understanding of our decisions regarding vaccines. I was soooo shocked / relieved!

That's awesome to hear! I totally understand the relief. I have a similar doc and couldn't be more happy with him.

We got lucky too. Ended going to a ped practice recommended by some friends, and doctor, while encouraging the use of vaccines, is open to our decision.

I told her we had a number of questions, and she's more than willing to listen to us, and give her point of view, but not pressure in any way.

It seems like there should be a sticky on ped offices that support the discussion of vaccines.
