So what are you calling the baby?

We told DS that I was pregnant a couple of days ago, we wanted to wait until we had told our families so he wouldn't say something... those toddlers can't rely on them to keep a secrete When I was telling him I told him that the baby was coming when the tomatoes were ready, we garden and tomatoes are his favorite food of all time, in a toddler time frame I thought that it would be a good frame of reference. So he started to call the baby Twayto (tomato)... DP likes baby 2.0 but I think that Twayto is the one that will stick Anyone else have baby nicknames yet?

So far it's been "kittens" because that's what I had when I got a BFP!

I haven't really started yet but we'll probably call the baby "new baby". LOL.
That's what we called Sam while he was in my belly. "let's put the carseat in for newbaby"....we are so creative.

So far, with DD, it's been "the other baby." When I ask her "where's the baby?" she points to herself. When I ask, "where's the other baby?", she points to my belly.

We call it "Sea monkey" DH gets a kick out of the whole baby with a tail thing...

we're calling it Bug. dd named it acidently. We used her to announce the pregnancy: "DD, what does mama have in her belly?" She answered "baby" but my mom got her confused and thought dd had said "bug". So now whenever anyone asks dd what mama has in her belly she says "BUG!!!" with great enthusiasm! I hope we can get her straightened out before Bug turns her world upside down!

The Lemon Bean. I told DD that it was the size of a lentil bean, and a couple days later she said, "What's a lennon bean?" I said "lentil," she said, "lemon?" and the name stuck.

DS1 named the baby "baby sunshine" Sometimes he just melts my heart

we are calling him 'bob the baby' -- both of us are guessing boy but he'll probably turn out to be a girl!

'the sprout' seems most common.

Pippin, or Pip. My husband wasn't fond of my referring to the baby by whatever food size it was currently up to (9 weeks=grape!) and requested a new nickname. Anyone know where Pippin is from?
I'm pretty sure pippin was a cute little orphan from a play, but I can't remember which one.

Right now we're calling it "baby baby" as opposed to our "big baby" (DD). We, too, are not very creative.

Sesame

I think I read something somewhere that said at X number of weeks your baby is the size of a sesame seed. It stuck!

We've actually been asking each other if Sesame is such a bad name for a little girl.

Gummi Bear, because that's what it looked like on the u/s!

The big boys named our baby "tiny". My middle son talks to the baby everyday and refers to it as "tiny". I haven't had the heart to tell him yet that the baby is just now developing ears. I'm pretty sure I won't.

Boogy because when they did an u/s because of bleeding he did a little dance to show he's just fine. :-)

When we thought there was only one in there, her name was Stuffing (ovulation was around Thanksgiving) but after discovering TWO! Baby A is designated as Stuffing and Baby B is Tad or Bat (since she likes to hang out in the top corner)

My husband calls it asterisk for some reason! And when write me emails, he says things like, "I was thinking about * today..."

It's cute.

Pip is the main character in the novel Great Expectations.

Pip is cute. All of them are really. I wish my toddler was old enough to talk and make up a cute name! We are just calling it little g (our last name starts with g). Our toddler we called the orb (short for our baby lol)
