Preggers on the Pill
I was on the "mini pill" (low dose bc often given to women over 35) when I conceived my dd. I didn't always take them at the same time of day - sometimes I would forget in the morning and then remember in the evening. I guess that's all it took! I was 38, and I had a 21-year-old daughter who had just graduated college. I had not planned to have any more children. My now-husband, then-boyfriend was 6 years younger than me, and he'd never had children. We had agreed we weren't going to have any. When I found out I was pregnant, I was not happy at first... I bought the test at a drugstore, took it in the bathroom, and came out traumatized. I told a complete stranger, through tears, "I'm pregnant!" This man told me not to worry, the baby was a gift and a blessing. He was right, of course. Hubby loves his dd with all his heart. Now we purposely are having a sibling for our little dear one!
