Just so we can get blood work done and know how vigilant we'll need to be in terms of socializing. At 4yo, dd1 knows what she can/can't eat and can articulate that pretty well. But with a crawling/toddling/mouthing everything/eat the other kiddo's snacks aged child I don't want to put up unnecessary boundaries to exploration or drive myself silly keeping him away from gluten if I don't have to.
Thanks for the reply. My Dd was 4 when she had the endoscopy. It was really tough (emotionally) and even though the test was negative for Celiac we still committed to the GF diet as it seems to help so many things including her chronic constipation. In my dd's case, the GF diet corrected a hormone deficiency that was prohibiting her growth. I'm just hoping my baby boy doesn't have the same issues with gluten or growth, but time will tell.

Since I last posted on this thread I read this
http://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/in...howtopic=57884
and found it interesting that Dr. Fasano (leading doc in the Celiac field) recommends delaying gluten til 1 year to reduce likelihood of CD development. (4th bullet point, although the site didn't actually cite the "recent study". DRAT!)
