This is more to vent than anything else. I have had insomnia for part of the night all week (major work stress). I want nothing more than to get up, go to the living room to watch tv, go on the computer (I'm on my blackberry now), or do SOMETHING other than lying in this bed. If I get up for more than 2 minutes, my cosleeping nursling will wake up. I feel so stuck! I just want an hour of freedom in this insomniac state!

I have gone through a few bouts of this too and what was really helped me when the stress of it all keeps my eyelids glued open:
1. Force myself to exercise- preferably in the fresh air
2. Calms Forte- who knows if this helps but its at least psychological
3. acupuncture
4. chamomile, lavender, lemon balm tea
Good luck, I hope the stress is reduced soon so you can get some sleep.

: I live there every night. It makes me a bit resentful of the baby sometimes
My blackberry is the only thing keeping me sane anymore.
