DD is almost 3 years old, and for all of her life we have been extra cautious about her sensitive skin, using 7th gen . diapers when we found the more mainstream brands caused major rashes... She is spirited, and refuses to wear cloth diapers-- also a sensitivity thing, i think, in a different way...Now that she is day-potty-trained, she wears cotton underwear all day, butwears pull ups at night, the huggies brand... and we didn't notice any problems at first, but she has developed a weird rash all over her butt-- like spots, they almost look like healed chicken pox.. like the color of them, i mean- -it's not bright red, but a deeper, almost purple. they are slightly raised, and don't bother her in any way. No cream really does the trick, i just tried giving her benedryl to see if that helps anything, but i think one dose wouldn't do anything more than make a little change. anyway, I tend to be more holistic minded, and want to figure out a way for her body to get back into balance... the spots just keep appearing, on her little butt cheeks only... with all the germs at the pediatricians, I totally do not want to go there for a butt rash, KWIM??
