3 oz a week?

My son weighed 8lbs8oz at birth, went down to 7lbs12oz at 3 days. At 10 days he was back up to 8lbs2oz. 6 weeks he was 9lbs2oz and today, 14 weeks, he is 11lbs. It seems like his growth is slowing down and I am getting worried. He nurses a lot still. People always comment on how often he eats. Every 30 - 90 minutes throughout the day. We rarely see 2 hours. At night it's about 3 sometimes 2 hours. I know every baby is different and grows different but I am worried. He has his 4 month checkup in two weeks and I'm bringing up my concern then.

he's gaining about a pound a month now, which is totally normal. My nurslings also ate very frequently. More of snackers than anything... and in the evening they'd often nurse for 2 hours straight while they tanked up for long stretch of about 5 hours. Obviously voice your concerns, but if someone suggests formula as a solution... run the other way. How does your baby seem otherwise? content? peeing and pooping?

Both of my girls averaged 4oz per week. My 19 week old was born at 8lb 5oz, weighed 7lb 5oz at her lowest and is now 12lb 11oz... I think that is the low side of average gain.. but they are healthy! BTW.. mine ALWAYS want to nurse a ton too!!
