ovulation pain?

i havent had oing pain since i was 15. since then i had been on the pill except for my pregs and the 9 mo it took to conceive DD1. so i am unfamiliar with my body and how it works except what i learned in HS health. lol. i will not be making tha mistake with my daughters and plan to buy the book everyone talks about.

but my question is about oing pain. i thought it was a cyst but a Us showed nothing. on jan 3 i had EWCM and then later that day started having twinges in my rt side. the twinges lasted until yesterday. does this mean i o'ed before the twinges started or after they started? what has been your experience? what has research told you?

it can happen ANY time around O.

mine is usually 2 days pre-O (which makes us believe it is because of my ovaries gearing up to O)

Some women get it at the moment of O, but that seems to actually be somewhat rare

Many women get it after O, due to the irritation to the area around the ovary. Especially if the ovulation was especially strong, per say, and has bleeding in the area (normal, not dangerous)

so if i had EWCM the morning before the twinges, then i prob o'ed before the twinges? i know these are just guesses. i am just trying to calculate how likely it is that i got preg. i have to wait until at least thur or so to test and will prob drive myself nuts until it happens.

well... you certainly have a chance....

but is it at all possible you mistook semen for EWCM? It can be very hard to distinguish even a day later.

that said, any time you have sex... you do have a chance for pregnancy... and if your AF is due thursday O likely occurred between the 31st and the 4th... if you DTD on the 2nd and you Oed on the 31st, you have pretty much no chance.... but if you Oed on the 3rd like it seems possible... having DTD on the 2nd, you have a really good chance. Having dtd on the 2nd gives you a chance for pregnancy Oing anywhere from the 2nd to the 7th... so...

yes, you could be pregnant... or you might not... unfortunately without charting you wont know for 100% sure whether or not you actually had a chance unless you end up pregnant.

I suggest, though, you get the book (Taking Charge of Your Fertility... the one everyones talking about) and start reading it now anyway... because if you do not end up pregnant, then you will be well prepared... and if you do, you will know what to expect next time!

semen doesnt stretch does it? i have never noticed it to be stretchy later.

DTD could have been the morning of the 3rd too. i cant remember exactly. but i do remember the twinges being the 3rd through the 7th...

i so plan on getting that book even though i also plan on taking the pill again. my mood swings are way out of control and i can not handle them. but i do plan on informing my daughters as soon as they start showing signs of puberty. age appropriate of course, but designed to make them aware of themselves as i never was.

oh yes it does indeed! even 12 hours later it can be stretchy... ive had that experience myself. it is quite hard to tell the difference between ewcm and semen that is leaking out of you sometimes.
