tantrums at night

DS is waking up at night and having tantrums, I don't even say anything he just wakes up and starts throwing himself all over the bad. It often happens also when he wakes up in the morning and from naps?

Did any of you have the same problem? What could be the cause?

Could it be night terrors?
Molar pain?
Ear ache?

Have you read up on night terrors? Could that be it?

My DS wakes up a miserable wreck, though, an awful lot of the time. I think he wakes up, and he's still tired and wants to sleep some more, but he doesn't really know how to relax down to sleeping some more, and so he gets really edgy and cranky.

terrors at nap time? is it possible?

DS is teething, he cries sometimes at night and complains that his mouth hurts, maybe this is what's causing these tantrums
