So i just recently found out that my natural health local food store supplied hempseeds, and hempseeds are high in omega3 and alot of other good stuff and i decided to instead of making peanut butter to help keep my iron up, to start making hemp butter...

So then i started wondering could babies take hemp seeds too??
i think i read somewhere that hempseed oil is good for them

but who has given hemp seeds to the infant, well not just pop it in there mouth kind of seeds, i mean cooked hemp seeds, cause i figured you just cook it like any other grains...and what benefits have you discovered after taking it??

cause i was thinking about giving it to my 8month old since it's really good for you but i kinda don't know... cause i always read things not to give children at a certain age and i was wondering is this one of those things???

much love!

I've never cooked hempseeds and would never. I usually buy Hemp Nuts and just sprinkle a few teaspoons on my morning oatmeal or Muesli. Also, great in smoothies. Ds is 3 yrs old and loves to eat them by the spoonful. Not sure about a child 8 months old-sorry.

I ate a lot of hemp while pregnant and started giving it to DD for the extra fats around the same time she started solid food. I would puree it into hemp milk or use the hemp milk as a smoothie base with other great nutrition boosters like spinach and blueberries. The fats in it helped my skin.
