Washer is staining clothes...heeeeeeelp!

I have a haier portable (apartment) washer. It's a big one...it works great but the past week or so I've been getting yellow (bright yellow, like a highligter) stains on our lighter clothing.

I've already ruined a few nice work shirts

I've cleaned the inside of the tub. I've ran an empty load with just bleach. I have no clue what is causing this but the idea of paying for the laundromat again and lugging laundry up and down our apartment stairs with my fatty 5mo old has me wanting to cry.

Help? Anyone? Ideas? TIA.

How old is it? Is it under any sort of warranty? Have you checked their website and/or called the company for help?

We used to have a washer that started putting rust spots on our clothing, but I don't think those started as light yellow. The only way we were ever able to get rid of the problem was to buy a new washer. Hopefully the manufacturer will have some other idea for you.
