My experience with gdiaper covers was that we loved them later... we would just tri-fold an infant prefold and lay it in there and it worked great. But that was after DD started pooping solids - so probably around 6 months when she started eating solids.
Before that, when they have the runny BF poops, it all just runs out the side, so you end up needing tons of covers as well because everything gets dirty when they poop - and they poop A LOT in the beginning!
Not to mention, the gdiapers don't have super duper leg gussets, so a lot of that poop ends up on whoever is holding the baby.
Don't sell your covers yet though, because you really never know what's going to work for you and your babe. It's good to have a nice sprinkling of all different kinds of stuff to try out. Also, my DD was totally small enough to fit into the smalls when her poos were finally solid enough to not slide out the side
