If I were to become a Supporting Member III but already have a Mothering subscription, would it just tack another year onto the end of my subscription?

Yes, exactly. Mothering's subscription software extends an existing subscription when a subscriber renews online You would need to make sure you went through MDC to receive the Supporting Membership benefits via this link: http://www.mothering.com/discussions/payments.php.

Also, it's important to note that anyone who adds a Supporting Membership III to their MDC account will also need to email administrator AT mothering.com with their Paypal receipt to be given a special code to renew (or start!) their subscriptions online for their Mothering subscriptions (print and digital).

Please PM me with any questions so I can help you with any specifics! Thanks so much!

If I want to upgrade from supporting member I to supporting member III, would I be charged the full amount? I just signed up for SMI today, but would like to change it to SMIII.

I just wanted to mention that guests can read the new forum. Is there a way to block guests from seeing it?

are you sure? I'm not seeing it, either logged in or logged out (apart from the guidelines of course).

Yes. When I'm logged out, I can see the forum & read the guidelines. There's no other posts to read yet, but if you can see the guidelines, you can read the whole forum. But guests can't read TAO, and you can't even see it on the forum list when logged out. I just don't want people thinking it's completely private, when it's not.

I am assuming that like the Surviving Abuse forum, non-members of the group can see the forum and read the guidelines but can't see any posts in it.

I don't think non-supporting members or guests can view anything but the guidelines. The other threads there aren't visible when I'm logged out.

Eman'smom - most of the time the pop-ups are blocked for me, but every once in a while one gets through (it may just be my firefox settings, though).

The Guidelines are set up as a separate forum so people could read those even if they do not have access.

Can you read the actual posts?

And it isn't completely private, we don't want anyone thinking that. We do recommend caution when sharing information online.

OK, I guess I was wrong! Sorry! I can't see any posts as a guest. I thought the posts were in the guidelines forum.

so, I think I'm supporting 3, but when I go to the commune I see no posts and it says I am not allowed to do anything but edit my own posts. am i missing something?

I purchased a mothering subscription through the site, how will I complete what I need to do to have access to certain forums and features as a level 3 member? I didnt go through paypal...I just entered my credit card information. I did forward my confirmation email to an admin at mothering though...will this take care of what needs to be done for activation?

Hello!

Simply forward the receipt (and place in the email that it is for another member) to administrator@mothering.com and she can take care of that for you.

She is traveling and won't be able to get back to you today. I am sure she will try to help you as soon as she can.
