I'm posting this inquiry for a friend of mine who recently moved to Tulsa (for her husband's job). She is pregnant with her first child (due in April) and, since moving, is not working for the first time (she's been working as a photographer for a newspaper). She and her DH don't know anyone in Oklahoma. Her family and oldest friends are all on the east coast. Needless to say, she's feeling very isolated and lonely. On top of being new to Tulsa and being pregnant, she's also been dealing with depression and anxiety. We (her oldest friends) feel like she realy needs to find a way to start a social support system for herself before the baby is born. Hopefully, once the baby is here, she can join some sort of "new moms support group." I'm wondering if any Tulsa-area folks can suggest activities/groups that she could become involved with during her pregnancy. She's the kind of preson who needs to be involved in projects. She's been doing some prenatal yoga, but apparently hasn't been able to connect with anyone in the class on a more social level (which I found to be kind of true in my prenatal yoga experience too).
