Judaism Questions

Thread Starter
1) I have been considering speaking with a Rabbi about converting to Judaism and I'm wondering...if I do eventually convert, will my children then be Jewish, or because when they were born I was not Jewish, will they not be considered Jewish until they are old enough to convert?

2) Is there a Jewish magazine that could be recommended to me? I'm looking for something more religious and less political than what I've come across in google searches.

Thanks!!

Your children will not be considered jewish, however you can convert your children. They don't have to be "old enough to convert themselves", even babies can be converted (and for instance in the case of adoption this is the standard, I think)

a site that gives rather basic info that can be helpful is

askmoses.com

it's not somewhere you wanna go for deep theological discussion perhaps, but it atleast gets the ball rolling and sometimes helps you find where to find answers to questions.
