Had to put down

I had to put down my dog Sherman tonight,he was 13 and it was a hard decision.He was a black lab and could not move around anymore.I have had since he was a puppy and have some feelings that I miss him already.I have some support from my daughter,step children Justin and Jenny and from my husband.My father did bury him and told me that he wil be in dog heaven.I do hve pictures of memories of him now and I am not ready to get another dog just yet

At least I loved Sherman,recieved him on my 18th birthday.Vet said it was the only choice with no other options.

There is a thread just a little ways down on this forum about my dog, who I put down just before Christmas. It was terrible. I am sorry.

I had to put my cat down just before christmas a year ago. I'm still not over it. We had been together for 11 years, since he was a tiny little kitten.

I am truly sorry for your loss. He was loved and I'm sure enjoyed his life with you. Grieve as long as you need too. I am a firm believer that when you are ready for a new pet to love that the perfect one will present to you.
