Give me an idea please

DS is 14 months. I would like to have somewhere he can sleep once in awhile other than my bed.

We have 2 other kids, age 5, and 3 in just a few days. My mom also lives with us. 3 Bedrooms, one is hers, one is ours, one is kids'.

We *just* got dd into the habit of sleeping in her own bed rather than with Grandma in the past few weeks. She had a regular bed, but I think she was afraid of falling out of it. She sleeps 98% of the time all night by herself on a mattress on the floor.
So I'm not ready/willing to mess with that by doing something like bunkbeds and another mattress in their room. Plus I think if DS woke one or both of them might too.

We have a pretty 'full' room....we couldn't fit a crib in here. No way no how, I don't know if we could fit *anything* else in here.

it's about a sense of "privacy" in our bed once in awhile, if you know what I mean. (we can't do what we did with dd and go in the livingroom...not with my mom here and you can't get to the main bathroom without seeing the livingroom...*lol*

How about setting up a special kid sleeping bag made of a comforter in a corner of the floor for those moments? Not regular, but for when you need in-bed privacy?

Or ask Grandma if she wants to nap with the littlest once in a while for the payoff of more grandchildren?

Thanks! this may be the best option I've got....I have a *ton* of other blankets.

I think what I will have to do though is get him asleep rocking the night I want to do it and put him there or somehow sneak him there with minimal/no wakeup.

I have *tried* to have him nap in Grandma's bed but he won't nurse and fall asleep there at all. (Dad works weird hours, didn't want to disturb him) It's like he knows he is in the wrong spot lol
but he had no problems recently on vacation.....that was vacation though lol he knew he wasn't 'supposed to' get his bed.
