video that encourages using the potty?

We have several potty learning books kicking around, but 2.25 yr old ds never wants me to read them (he is pretty much boycotting anything except Dr Seuss these days). However, he loves and adores anything and everything on any screen... so, while I am normally very much in favor of strictly limiting screen time, I was thinking that maybe having a "pro potty using" video to play occasionally might work wonders for his motivation to start sitting on the potty. You know, like "Elmo pees in the pot", or "When Diego flushed for the first time" or something like that. Any ideas?

My son looooooves Elmo's Potty Time. He hasn't watched it in a while, but he still says "Pee pee, poo poo. Wee wee, woo woo" and cracks up laughing. We also got the potty elmo toy, which basically doesn't work as well as you would hope, but it did come with a little toy potty that he enjoyed putting all of his dolls/stuffed animals on at first, while he sat on his potty.

Elmo's potty time is really good. We borrowed it from the library.

I also checked out a couple of others - I remember Potty Power was terrible. Don't get it.

We got Elmo's Potty Time, too, and DD loves it. Now we can bring out the heavyweight when we need her to do something potty-related -- "Well, Elmo says you have to wash your hands..."

Ok, thanks mamas. Guess it's time for us to check out that Elmo video. Fingers crossed that it makes some sort of impact!

I came across good reviews for "Potty Time with Bear" too. Have any of you checked that one out?

I hate to say it, but another vote for Elmo Potty Time. It was a good intro to the whole idea. It didn't give her the AHA! moment, but it did give help.

This is great to watch while sitting on the potty - engaging, just the right length of time and catchy as heck.
