Kids pants pattern for CDed butt

Anyone have a good baby pants pattern that has a full butt? Most pants are cut too trim for CDs. I have to start making his pants because his legs are so freaking long, but I don't want to waste my time with patterns that aren't going to be full enough to pull over his CDs.

Knits or woven?

For knits/fleece I really like the Little Comet Tails Crescnet Moon Yoga Pants pattern. Designed and sold by a sahm!

Kwik Sew patterns are also great though I haven't used any to make woven pants.

I just made a pair of pants for DS by tracing a pair that fit him well (he's in cloth diapers) and making my own pattern

Reversable Pants by New Conceptions is a great pattern and nice and roomy in the bum. Its super easy to sew with great directions.

Ooh, I have a few of her patterns and yes, they are very CD-friendly! Cute, too!

Probably some fleece and some knit wool (the white is double knit, the black only has a very slight stretch), since I use his pants as diaper covers.

That'd be great if I had any that fit him well. All of his purchased pants are cut trim through the butt, too short in the leg, and too big in the waist. Short in the leg and big in the waist are easy enough to deal with when making your own... but trim in the butt not so much.

Has anyone tried a monkey pants pattern?

I haven't sewn Monkey pants but they sure are cute! The LCT CMYP has a butt panel, too, though it's at the top. I have used those as diaper covers in fleece and have seen them in wool, too.

Dang, now I think I need the Monkey pants pattern. LOL!

I found a free pattern for pants meant for cloth diapers.

This would be lovely over a CDd butt. I haven't made it yet, and am trying to figure out what dimensions I would need for a newborn (not born yet), but it looks awfully cute!

Those are cute! Remind me of Thai fishermen's pants. It's neat that there are no patterns, really, just rectangles to sew together.
