While we were at my parents I decided to bite the bullet and night train my dd... 4.5 yo. I've tried before... she'd stay dry for several nights, then start wetting again... so I backed off. While at my parents she is on a bed outside our door, so I figured it would be a good time. It was easy... she had 2 accidents, but has done great for almost 2 weeks... It was clear she could either hold it or get up and go with out problem.... up until now.
We've been at home the last week (we sleep on different levels of our house). I hear her getting up but she's been having accidents... today I noticed wet spot on her bedroom floor... she'd wet on her floor. When I questioned her it seems she is too afraid to leave her room at night, causing the accidents (even though I leave the light on in the bathroom, which is next to her room). I've tried reasoning with her... how else can I help her?
I still think she is able to wake and hold it... as per her getting up... she is just too afraid (of monsters) to leave her room.
I don't feel like it is a solution to go back to wearing diapers...
