They need to take a sample of my cervix… QUESTION!

its to early for me to test if im PG. but DH and i have been trying so hard i have to have the test Monday. if i am in the early stages of being PG is this type of test ok? its a copeoscopy (SP????) i had some odd cells last time i had a pap. i had this same test about 6mths ago and this new test is a follow up.

for those that dont know... they take a sample of my cervix and send it off for testing.

HELP is this going to be of or can in cause a MC if i am pg???

A colposcopy is quite safe during pregnancy as it is just a close visual examination of the cervix. Obviously if they want to do a biopsy as well this is more invasive. However, from what I've read this is also safe to do during pregnancy. If you put "cervical biopsy and pregnancy" into Google you will get lots of hits.

i did a little research and it seems to be a debate on it being ok or not...

i will ask my DR i do like and trust her its just that is a military clinic and they seem to run us through like livestock i truly hope she hears me and does not do the test if she feels it could be harming.

I would wait and reschedule for two weeks from now so you know if you are pregnant or not.

They would look close and paint with vinegar BUT if she sees an area they are going to want to biopsy and for me, at a MTF actually, it hurt a bunch and caused cramping. That would scare me in early pregnancy
