S/O Pregnancy and Zodiac signs

Thread Starter
This is a spinoff from another thread as I am coming to terms with another gemini in the house (most probably). I am married to a gemini, and we get along famously MOST of the time.

I remember reading a thread once on here about people being able/or at least trying to coach their babies to come at a certain time.. has anyone done this to get a baby to be born under a certain zodiac sign?

Also, anyone planned their pregnancy so the due date would fall under a certain zodiac sign?

Also, what Chinese sign are we looking at for spring/summer? I can't recall... but I would like to look at both types.. I am a dragon under the Chinese system, and an Aries/Taurus cusp for the monthly one.

As my DH and I are both Aquarians and my DS is a Gemini - we expressly avoided making this baby a Gemini. Even though this baby was unplanned, I was super super careful during times when I knew this baby could have been conceived as a Gemini or a Virgo. So this baby will be a Capricorn, could have been an Aquarian if not for an inducement due to medical complications. Some people may not believe it but we really do see the complications of dealing with a child born under a sun sign that is really opposite us, of course he is also Gemini rising so he has double Gemini traits.

Cool thread!

I'm an Aries and DH is a Taurus... and I like to think we get along incredibly well 99 percent of the time. This LO will be a Taurus like his/her daddy, so hopefully the good vibes will continue in our house! We went through some of the beginnings of fertility treaments to conceive so we didn't didn't really get to take zodiac into consideration...we took the chances we got.... but we would have loved an April baby since DH and I are both April babies and have such a good harmony.

For the yearly Chinese zodiac... I'm a rat, DH is a pig, and the kiddo will be a tiger. We'll see how that all plays out

I have been a student of astrology for 15 years, and I thought I would mention that the sun sign is like a destination for all of us, sometimes people take a lifetime to shine in that light. It is only a piece of the celestial puzzle. We are made up of every sign. For ex..my daughter and I are opposite sun signs, but my moon and ascendent complement her sun sign. So we relate really well alot of the time.

My husband and I are a Virgo-Ox and an Aries-Tiger (me? A handful?), respectively, and as you'd expect, we think about things from opposite ends most of the time. However, it's that opposition that makes us so good together...what each of us lacks the other excels at, and we drive each other to be our best. And crazy.

Our daughter is a Gemini-Golden Piglet, and this new baby will be a Leo-Tiger. No doubt we'll have a strong personality no matter what, as has already been proven by this pregnancy happening despite an IUD. Determined little critter.

www.astrodienst.com is a really good site for free horoscope charts. Put in your birth info, etc and then go to astrology.com to help decipher it.

2010 is the year of the tiger so any baby born after 2/14 this year will be a tiger in Chinese astrology.

Talking about sun signs is such a small part of the equation. The opposite of Aquarius is Leo. Gemini is in a easy aspect (trine) to Aquarius because they are both air signs. Virgo would have been more difficult though as it is earth. You seem to have something against Mercury since that is the ruling planet for both Gemini and Virgo. Interesting.

Virgo and Aries are not quite opposite each other. The opposite of Aries is Libra and Virgo's opposite is Pisces (although you could still have your sun's in opposition by degree's but you'd have to get your chart to see). But it is still a somewhat difficult placement because Virgo's (earth) tend to be very cautious and Aries (fire) likes to leap before looking. But as you said they can be very complimentary. Your DD is an Air sign and if your expected LO arrives on time then Leo is a fire sign. A Leo and a Gemini? Yes, you will have your hands full.

I love astrodienst. Another good website for sorting out what it all means on a beginner level is cafeastrology. CA does get into some more complex techniques, but they do have really good descriptions if you're only interested in the sun, moon and other basic placements.

I didn't even think of zodiac signs until I saw this post. I'm a Leo with Scorpio ascendant and DH is Leo with Sagittarius ascendant. This baby will most likely be an Aries unless she decides to hand out a little long in which case she'll be a Taurus. I'm wondering how that will play out.

BlackSheep, FWIW, my best friend is a Gemini and we get along great. My brother is a gemini also and we bickered a lot as kids but were really close except for our teenage years. So hopefully it won't be too bad for you

really cool thread.

I didnt even think about signs when ttc, but when we realized we were going to have a leo we both groaned in disappointment. DH has a sister who is a leo & they dont get along. I have a friend who is a leo & she is so emotional & dramatic - she is either on a high or crying - no 'normal'/everyday composure.
DH - Cancer - rising sign of Libra - Red (Fire?) Sheep.
I am a Sagittarius - rising sign of Virgo - Brown (Earth) Rooster.
DS - Leo - rising sign of Leo - Brown (Earth) Rat.
DD due 4/15/10 - Aries - White Tiger

Every aries I was ever friends with I always ended up in a lot of trouble with - having a blast the whole time - should be interesting with DD.

I really dont know much about all of this, but it is really interesting.
