Water temp...

Out of interest...what temp should I have the birthing pool water?
Is there a max? (there has to be right - don't want to boil baby! lol)...and/or do you just go with what feels right and good to you at the time?

My mw's wanted it around 36/37 degrees. It was WAY too warm for me. Apparently it's too not shock the babe. Well, how many mums birth in rivers, lakes and oceans and don't have body temperature water? In history, many many. This time, I wont be doing it so warm. I dehydrated so fast and drank cold water like it was going out of style while pushing, or I was going to faint. (Although in non-preg life I am not a big fan of hot tubs either, so maybe that has something to do with it)

Anyway, I feel as long as you are comfortable and you feel like your baby isn't going to be terribly shocked then your intuition should work as a fine thermometer.
