4 month old with night terrors? Help!

My dd is 4 months and a few days old. Over the last few days, mostly during naps rather than at night, without actually waking up, she starts screaming and crying, tears and all. Most of the time after a couple of minutes, she'll calm down and just drift back off to sleep. If she happens to wake up, she's not upset anymore, and just goes straight back to sleep, or stays awake like nothing ever happened. She hardly ever cries any other time, so this is really concerning. Could it be night terrors? Could that happen this early?

My 5 mo does that sometimes. I don't know about night terrors -- maybe just nightmares? I tend to think it's pretty normal, but I'll be interested to hear what others say.

I wouldn't be so concerned if she wasnt screaming, like high pitched awful screaming. and most of the time she doesn't even wake up. it's been happening a lot too. three times yesterday and at least that today. it breaks my heart.

sounds like silent reflux to me. I don't think 4 months old get night terroes (though sometimes they are vivid dreamers - by 8 mth old cries in in sleep and if we wake him he FREAKS out on us). but I wonder considr the silent reflux if it's a oainful kinda cry.
