Homeschooling/Unschooling as a single/working mom

My son still has some years before he starts school, but I'd like to start researching my options. I'm a single mom who works full-time as a teacher. I'd really like to homeschool/unschool my son when it's time to start school. He has a nanny right now during the day. So I have some questions for others that work full time, are either single or don't get much help from their husband with homeschooling, and are homeschooling/unschooling their child/children.

1. Who watches your children during the day?

2. When do you homeschool/unschool or does someone else do it? If so who does it?

3. Is it possible to work full-time & still homeschool/unschool?

I'd love to hear you experiences about how you make it work for your family.

Thanks,
Carolyn

Well, I'm a single, full-time RN. My schedule is different than yours, in that I work 12 hour shifts 2-3 days a week. My sister provides childcare for me. I plan to use a more structured Charlotte Mason approach in our homeschool. I initially hope to use 3 days a week that I don't work, for about 45min-1hr of structured, short lessons. This should get us thru K and 1st. The time will gradually increase based on age/ability, and I intend to begin sending things to work on with my sister for review/practice.
