Interface question

Thread Starter
If a pattern calls for "non-fusible medium weight interface", is there any reason I can't use fusible medium weight? I like fusible because it's one less layer to shift around.

Just wondering if there is some reason I'm not thinking of that I'd HAVE to use non-fusible.

(It's a pattern for a little bag.)

With a bag, of you use fusible facing you are stiffening either your lining or your outer which may not be desirable.

With non fusible you are just stiffening the whole bag to give it some body, not just stiffening a bit of it.

I have made some bags and stiffened the lining which is ok but it tends to crease when you pull the lining through from inside out. This then needs pressing and straightening out again which doesn't always work.
