I hope this isn't really a GD issue (apologies if this is the wrong board).

My one year old has been learning to hug, which is delightful. He stands up next to me while I'm on my knees and puts his face against mine. As soon as I'm swooning, he reaches around and pulls my short neck hairs as hard as he can. This is often accompanied by biting my chin.

Now the biting I interpret as him wanting to nurse, since he's really just opening his mouth against my face as he would do at the breast (though he surely does bite down on my chin, and it hurts). But since he's got me in a head lock, it's hard to stop him.

The hair pulling has been a problem for months, and we've tried saying "no pulling hair" firmly, but he just laughs. It is seriously the most annoying thing he does. Even worse than flailing around while I'm trying to change a poopy diaper. I have to ungrip his hands as best I can while trying to hold on to him, and this often happens while I'm carrying him, which makes it difficult.

Aside from a hair cut (scheduled for Tuesday, but I'm not expecting it to make a huge difference - it's not like I'm shaving it off), what else can I do? I know it will pass, but it can't pass fast enough!
