Family cloth - support plz - Page 9

We have been a FC family for several years. I wouldn't change it for the world. I love to hear about other family's making the change. Kudo's to you. I hope you find it as rewarding as we do.

Aww When I was reading this first post I thought it was sad. There is tons of support for my end. :D Its not strange at all. I think its a GREAT idea to use cloth wipes for both number 1 AND 2 lol. :D Keep it up :D

I'm so glad there is a place I can come to that makes me feel "normal."  I've been getting slack over family cloth lately and it's starting to really bug me.  I'm sick of hearing that it's "not sanitary" or "it's gross."  Ugh.

That's rediculous! If you get pee or poop on your clothes do you garbage them?! And people have been doing cloth diapers for ages, it's no different. Ugh.

Since my last post I have made the switch. I have been thinking about it for a while but haven't because I have also gotten hassel but from my husband. He says he is sick of all these changes I make to be more environmentally friendly..(isn't even the main reason) I switched and the other day he used a cloth wipe and said it wasn't all that bad. :D YA! So excited that he is alright with it all.. then he said... we better not move into a feild into a grass hut anytime soon... little does he know. HA :D Anyway. I LOVE the change and even got my mom on board doing the same. :)

We did it! About three years ago, i found out about FC and brought it up to my DH as "one of those things those extreme hippies do" sort of joke. Every green/earth friendly change we've made over the years has been countered with "at least we're not using cloth to wipe our butts"...Since we had kids, we've cloth diapered them from the start. Two months ago, DH was complaining that the 7th Generation toilet paper was really expensive, but it was the only thing that was not too rough, not too flimsy, etc. I brought up FC, thinking he'd laugh it off as we had over the years. But this time he said, "Well, it's basically the same thing that we're doing for the kids (cloth wipes and diaper spray), so how is it any different for adults?"  So last month I found a moose print flannel sheet in my fabric stash and sewed 106 wipes. I put it in a nice basket and relocated one of the diaper pails into the bathroom. We've only used toilet paper downstairs (my mother lives on the 1st floor and has a guest bath down there) for over a month now.

We're not looking back. And FC isn't a joke in our family anymore!!!
