Betas high?

Thread Starter
I had betas done at 10dpo and 14dpo (it was over Christmas weekend - they were closed at 12dpo). My numbers were 46 and 564. I don't have any intuition at all that this is twins, but I am way more sick and earlier with this pregnancy than I was with DD. It seems like those are high numbers from googling them but I'm not sure - betabase says they are on the high end.

With DD, my betas were 1555 at 17dpo and 5714 at 21dpo, so I do tend to run higher amounts of HCG.

So, what were your numbers and was it twins? I know this really can't tell too much without an u/s, I just want to obsess to get my mind off of being sick.

Here's a fun website to obsess over:

http://www.betabase.info/

I was in triplet range according to their site (high 900's at 17DPO.... didn't get a re-draw done though since my docs just wanted to make sure my HCG was high enough at all.) Turns out I had one very sticky baby in there instead of two or three.... and it seems to be the case for others. High/quickly doubling HCG levels could indicate multiples or just one sticky and very determined baby

Rumor is high betas make for girl babies!

My betas are always high. Betabase would say I'm having multiples...but it's just singletons.

Bfp on every test at 10 dpo
3324 at 16 dpo
6245 40 hours later

Some women metabolize hcg differently too, so their numbers seem way low/high

on the other hand... my cousin had two draws early on (i believe 13 and 15dpo) and they came back right mid-range.... and she has lovely boy/girl twins
