Unfortunately, I am out

Had some bleeding and went to check. No heartbeat. Nothing.

I am devastated. This was a natural, spontaneous pregnancy after 6 years of trying/fertility treatments. We had given up and fostered three kids for longterm foster/adoption. This LO was such a lovely surprise.

I am very very sorry.

Please come to the pregnancy loss board here at MDC when you feel up to it. It has been a lifesaver for me this past year, when the bottom of my world dropped out.

Did you go to the ER or did you check yourself? Any chance the LO is hiding?? I'm so sorry that you are going through this. It just doesn't seem fair.
kind regards,
Cindy

Hi again,

Thanks for all the messages. The ultrasound was pretty conclusive. Even I could see that what was a baby with moving arms and legs and a visible heartbeat at my 12w U/S was now just a blob with no heartbeat.

Telling our kids was very hard. The two oldest girls (8 and 6) were sooo upset. The littlies (3 and 4) didn't really understand. So we have been drawing and writing stories to deal with all the strong emotions. Hardest thing is dealing with everyone else who knows.......

Moving over to the pregnancy loss board...

may you all go on to have wonderful pregnancies, easy births and happy and healthy babies.
