I'm working on (it's taking FOREVER!) the first UC manual right now where I want to compile a list of all of the knowledge and questions that I've read about UC over the years.
I'm worried about the legal implications of this. I expect I'll have to include something in the front of the book that says something like "the advice in this book is not intended to take the place of a doctor's advice...yadda, yadda, yadda" to basically cover all of my bases legally.
Does anyone know if there is a specific passage that I have to legally include or can I write it myself? Is there something in the public domain somewhere that I can copy that will be legally binding? I don't know where to get legal advice for a UC book.
Also, does anyone know where I can obtain medical illustrations to use in the book that are in the public domain? I'm an illustrator, but it's pretty daunting to think of illustrating them all by myself.
Thanks!
