The Beco has an internal harness that makes it easier to do back carries and to change between adults...I don't like the extra step and prefer the Ergo......
Most new babywearers prefer the Beco and slighter framed people find the Ergo to be better for broader shoulders but I just cinch the chest strap super tight.....I'm 5'4" and 115 pounds while DH is 5'10" and 180 and we can both wear it....my heavier friend loves it!!! (5'3" and 200 pounds)
Having both, I would recommend an Ergo. But, at 3 months, depending on your babywearing/back carrying experience, a Beco might be easier to use b/c of the internal harness/seat. For me, it's a bit of a PITA - but my DS is a huge almost 3 yo.
We've used both and I prefer the Ergo, while D prefers the Beco. I could never get a tight enough adjustment on the Beco (I'm 5'8" and 120 lbs.). I think the Ergo has more comfortable padding, and I feel like it distributes the weight better at your hips.
