I guess I might as well join this thread since I check our DDC about 300 times a day. Hoping this weekend brings lots of new babies into our DDC, including mine! LOL I keep going to bed each night thinking, tonight could be it! and then I wake up disappointed. Ohhh well, one of these days...

Is feeling antsy a sure sign that it is soon. For all you guys that have done this a couple times. Did that always signal the end. I just feel UNEASY. Thats a good word for it.
YES! This is how I feel. However I really had no signs of labor until menstrual like contractions started. I remember my friend saying something about how quiet my son was being and that maybe he knew what was happening- went into labor that night.

But I HIGHLY doubt I will have any such luck now that I have two screamers for kids.

I've read that the fluid often smells like what you eat.

Mymary- I think every day I feel more weird and unsettled and like I'm walking on a tightrope.... Hopefully it peaks and starts dropping off soon, I feel like something HAS to happen or I'm going to explode! (which makes my temper rather volatile, as well).

Strawberryfields- SIL's husband brews... you can always tell when he's been brewing because their kitchen is a DISASTER. Your husband should give her husband some tips

Still nothing happening here, baby-wise.

DD tricked me - AGAIN- with this whole napping idea. We did her nap routine, she nursed until basically asleep and then popped up like she'd just had a 2 hour nap and refusing to even look tired afterwards. I HATE when she does that! It makes me so IRRITATED. Add this into a lousy night where she was up EVERY HOUR and we're both very cranky from lack of sleep.

Ha, dh's good friend brews too and his wife is even luckier. He mops the floor when he is done because of all the little miscellaneous spills! I am not that lucky.

Finally, I just went to the bathroom & had a chunk of mucous on the TP. Yay!! I know that means nothing in regards to when I'll go in labor but I'm so glad to finally see something happening.

Something happening is so much better than nothing happening.

Congratulations on something!

How exciting! I hope things progress for you. I can truly sympathise with the hip thing.

I also had little contractions last night that kept me awake. this morning instead of petering off like usual they continued. Now I'm up to about 5 mins and just had a wee bit of bloody show. I think today's the day! And it's my birthday too! 41 weeks exactly so I am def. ready!

So my birthday is Wednesday, 1/20, and I went ahead and made plans with my family to go out for dinner. Hopefully now that I have some plans the baby will decide to come to cancel those.

Since my cervical sweep yesterday I've had a lot more discharge. Man, I would really like to give birth sooner rather than later! But I feel pretty normal today.

oceanone! Good luck!

We went on a lengthy-ish walk today (maybe 2 miles in total), and I got lots of BH contractions, but nothing since... ho hum...

Since I'm technically post-dates I went ahead and made playdate plans for tomorrow in the sincere hope that a plan on the calendar = a trip to the hospital! I so hope it works for both of us!

May have something happening... about 4 hrs of ctx every 10 min, but ctx are pretty mild and don't seem to be going anywhere. DH is optimistic and has inflated the birth tub. Hoping this is the real thing...

Good luck oceanone and smokeylo... hope this is it for you!

I've been having tons of contractions and every night when they're at their most frequent I keep thinking this is it but then I wake up and am still pregnant. *sigh*
post #97 of 148
No dice... 7 hrs of ctx, some pretty strong, but they all went away after I had a BM. Between that and DD's post-viral cough, I am a zombie today. And I'm so disappointed -- I really got my hopes up.

Well this might be the night for me!! Started pretty strong contractions about an hour ago. I just started timing and they are about 10 min apart ~ 45 sec long. Well, then I nursed dd to sleep and they switched to 3 minutes apart but I'm guessing that is temporary. I have been having light ones on and off since last night along with killer back pain, but these feel like the real deal. Just keeping my eyes out for them to get stronger and closer together, or other signs like my water breaking. I packed the last of my stuff and changed my clothes just in case. I admit--now that I'm actually facing the possibility of birthing this baby, I'm starting to feel scared of the pain!!

Strawberry fields, I dont think you are alone about the temporary panic.

Last night I had a mini panic moment thinking about the pushing the baby out stage! I thought I dont want to do this again! I dont want to do that! I got scared. TOday I am better, and I think once it comes its just something that I have to go through to progress this process. I feel good and excited today and confident in my upcoming birth.

Side note: I feel almost nothing today in the way of BH or ctx's(ha ha).

Ooh, good luck StrawberryFields!

Smokey Soon! I promise! (I keep telling myself this, too).

I got a lot of TOTALLY pointless cleaning done today. Swept and scrubbed my stairs and upstairs hallway, washed walls and baseboards (???) and did a load of laundry of stuff that we never use that's been sitting in the laundry room for months now, untouched. I don't even know where to put it.

We have a diaper sprayer in the mail off Ebay after a fruitless trip to various hardware stores looking for parts to make one.

Bought a curtain rod to replace the broken one, but can't find the drill to hang the damn thing (how do you LOSE A DRILL?!?!? Explain that to me!)

Uhh. That's it. I'm tired, my feet are swollen, and if I drink any more red raspberry leaf tea my stomach is going to go into rebellion.
