I'd just add that you might want to check with the manufacturers of your diaper products and see what they say- there may not be a problem with using vinegar with the particular products that you have and you can usually obtain this info easily through their websites.

I use vinegar in the rinse by putting it in the fabric softener spot. I use 1/2-1 cup. Ever since starting it I don't have any more problems with stink, leaking, or build-up. I love it!

i do the vinegar in the downy ball, and am happy with it!
