DD, 3 years old, announced at about 2 and a half that she wanted to sleep in her own bed. I obliged thinking it was probably a fluke, one night thing, but to my surprise, that's where she stayed for about 8 months. Recently, though, she has started saying she wants to sleep with me in my bed. I've been going with it, but DH is now sleeping in her room and, I don't know, the whole set up is just not what I imagined. I'm feeling pretty indecisive about this, b/c I *think* I don't want it to be me and DD in mine and DH's bed for some indefinite amount of time, even though I guess it's not that big of a deal. But I guess I'd like something in between the two. I just don't know what that would be. And even though I don't want to be one of those parents that's always worried that I'm setting up a bad habit, I can't help but feel that that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm sure the general consensus here is going to be to just go with it, but I'm curious to see if anyone has stopped co-sleeping, only to restart again later. Did you have an impossible time getting your LO out of your bed again? Did you just refuse to let them back in your bed? TIA.
